How it works

The BridgerPay payment process operates as follows:

  1. Customer Selection: The customer selects a preferred payment method from the available options such as Credit Card, Alternative Payment Methods (APMs), and more. They provide the necessary checkout details.
  2. System Validation: The BridgerPay system performs validation checks based on various factors, including the chosen payment method, the customer's country of residence, and the desired currency.
  3. Transaction Processing: Once the validation is completed, the system initiates the transaction by sending a request to the appropriate Payment Service Provider (PSP) capable of processing the transaction. For credit card payments, the request is cascaded to different PSPs in the predetermined sequence in case of a declined transaction.
  4. Transaction Notification: Upon successful acceptance of the transaction by the PSP, BridgerPay promptly notifies you, the merchant, about the transaction status. This ensures that you receive timely updates and can proceed with subsequent order fulfillment or processing.

By following this seamless process, BridgerPay simplifies and streamlines payment transactions, leveraging multiple PSPs to optimize payment success rates and enhance the overall customer experience.
